Presidential linen guayabera
The presidential linen guayabera is the traditional guayabera used by world leaders for political events.

What characterizes the presidential guayabera from the others, are its pleats all along the front and unlike the Cuban guayabera, the presidential guayabera has one to three internal pockets. One on the chest and two on the lower part of the guayabera.
The history of the presidential guayabera goes back to Mexico in the 70s, when the president of the Mexican Republic began to wear guayaberas in the most important state events both in Mexico and abroad.
Imitating this style of dress, with linen guayabera, other politicians, businessmen and people who could afford a linen guayabera, were turning it into a classic garment, reflecting economic status.
Governors and presidents from all over the world followed the tradition. And to this day this model of "Presidential" guayabera is used by high political leaders around the world in daytime events or in Latin American countries.
Like the rest of the guayaberas, the linen presidential guayabera is versatile for any type of weather.
